What is Equine Bowen?
Equine Bowen Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive technique involving light, rolling movements over specific muscle groups to stimulate a horse's natural healing response. This therapy aims to improve circulation, reduce muscle tension, and enhance flexibility by engaging the nervous system and promoting balance within the body.
It's often used to address stiffness, pain, behavioural issues, and recovery from injuries, providing a calming, holistic approach to support the horse's overall health without the use of forceful manipulation or medication.

How far do you travel?
I travel within a reasonable radius of Surrey, but we can work something out if you are beyond the Surrey borders.
Please see my Booking page for more information.
What happens during an Equine Bowen treatment?
During an Equine Bowen Therapy treatment, the practitioner gently applies rolling movements with their fingers or thumbs over specific areas of the horse's muscles, tendons, and fascia. These moves are applied in sequences, with short breaks in between to allow the horse's nervous system to process and respond to the treatment.
The pauses help stimulate natural healing, reduce tension, and promote relaxation, often resulting in noticeable physical and behavioural changes as the horse releases stress and regains balance.
“I decided to train [in Bowen] and enjoyed every minute, I was amazed by its effectiveness, and the gentle unique way in which it works. I'm excited to be able to share this amazing therapy.”
